Anyone looking to make an investment in emerging markets has been reminded of the opportunities provide by Latin America.
At a time when the region's football teams are showing their quality on the pitch, JP Morgan has noted that countries such as Brazil, Chile and Mexico are worth investing in.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management's Emerging Markets Equity team manages $1.4 billion in Latin America regional portfolios, focusing on a wide range of sectors, as well as infrastructure.
Luis Carrillo, Portfolio Manager of Latin American equities at JP Morgan Asset Management said: "World Cup fever and the solid performance from Latin American football teams are highlighting the increasing dominance of the region in global terms - both footballing and financial markets .
"Brazil will be hosting the next World Cup in 2014 and we are already seeing huge public and private spending on infrastructure in this increasingly domestic driven economy."
Other emerging markets that provide opportunities for investing in include India and China .
