New research has shown the confidence many stockbrokers have in the potential of returns from emerging markets for the rest of the year.
According to the study by Barclays Wealth, 50 per cent of stockbrokers with the firm think these markets will provide the best returns.
Meanwhile, 31 per cent are backing the UK to provide the best returns, while 14 per cent are looking to the US.
Barbara-Ann King, head of investments at Barclays Stockbrokers, explained how experts are continuing to back emerging markets, a trend demonstrated in January when 58 per cent favoured them.
"Investors have consistently demonstrated confidence in emerging markets this year and we expect this to continue into the second half of 2010.
"Investors do not seem to be deterred by volatility and continue to look far and wide in order to achieve their desired investment goals."
Among the key emerging markets finding favour among investors are Brazil, India and China .
