UK Sustainable Investment and Finance (UKSIF) has been announced as one of the sponsors of the next National Ethical Investment Week (NEIW).
The third NEIW will take place between November 7th and 13th and will once again attempt to raise awareness of green and ethical investing.
Penny Shepherd MBE, chief executive of UKSIF, explained why it is so important for there to be more information about ethical investments .
She said: "Consumers are increasingly aware of the impact of their investments and the opportunity for their finance and investment decisions to have a positive long term impact. Modern green and ethical investment is now an attractive choice for mainstream investors .
"Increasing numbers of investors want some exposure to green and ethical investments as part of a mixed portfolio. And they want an improved focus on risks to their investments, including social and environmental risks."
In his recent Budget, George Osborne confirmed that the government would take forward our plans to create a Green Investment Bank .
