An investment expert has outlined why the Old Mutual Global Strategy Bond fund could be attractive to investors .
Sheridan Admans, investment adviser at the Share Centre, detailed how a diversified portfolio of fixed and variable rate bond investments can provide decent income and capital appreciation.
He also pointed out that, while 80 per cent of the fund is invested in fixed interest securities, no more than 80 per cent is invested in sterling denominated securities.
"The fund is managed with four performance objectives in mind: to beat cash, grow the net asset value (assets less liabilities) on a consistent basis, to rank top quartile and outperform the benchmark over a market cycle," he added.
"The fund is suitable for those investors with a low risk appetite for seeking income and who are comfortable with income derived from overseas assets ."
Meanwhile, Adrian Lowcock, senior investment adviser at Bestinvest, recently recommended products that provide an income.
