GlaxoSmithKline identified as worthwhile investment

Tue, 07 Dec 2010

Ahead of Christmas, GlaxoSmithKline has been identified as an investment option that may benefit over the Christmas period.

Nick Raynor, investment adviser at The Share Centre, observed that GlaxoSmithKline has an impressive product range as well as an impressive yield .

Several of the company's products should prove popular over the Christmas period, according to Mr Raynor.

"Lucozade to recharge the batteries after spending too much time playing with the children's toys; Horlicks to help send you off to sleep when counting sheep just won't do; Panadol to help get over the predicted hangovers; and Niquitin for that New Year's resolution to quit smoking once again," he said.

"These are just some of the company's products and what adds to GlaxoSmithKlines's attraction is that there are so many more products in the pipeline waiting to come to market."

Founded in 2000, GlaxoSmithKline is a global pharmaceutical, biologics, vaccines and consumer healthcare company.

It is, in fact, the world's third largest pharmaceutical company measured by revenues.
