Convertible bonds are currently offering "compelling" investment opportunities, according to one expert.
Anja Eijking, manager of the F&C Global Convertible Bond investment fund, explained that the financial turmoil seen last year resulted in such products falling dramatically.
However, Ms Eijking believes the investment bonds might now offer an excellent choice for people looking to make a profit.
"The disappointing absolute performance of the asset class has its benefits as it now offers very attractive investment opportunities with limited risk and attractive upside potential in the wake of the sell-off," she said.
Asian bonds could offer particularly good investments at this time, Ms Eijking added.
Yesterday, Barclays Wealth reissued a range of its investment products, including the addition of a monthly income option for one of its bonds.
Its Regular Income Bond will now let people access funds from it once a month if they decide this is what they are looking for in an investment product .
