Fidelity International is launching a new investment fund aimed at providing people with a high level of regular income, it has been revealed.
The Fidelity Enhanced Income investment fund will be managed by Michael Clark and aims to deliver a yield of 150 to 200 per cent of the FTSE All-Share index yield.
At launch, the estimate yield for the investment fund is 7.1 per cent, although this will fluctuate depending on market performance.
Mr Clark, who has 22 years of investment experience, said: "We are entering a period of time when dividend income will be a crucial component of shareholder returns. This fund offers a simple and transparent method of enhancing that income."
As interest rates are at a historic low, people should be looking at investment products for a return on their money, he added.
Yesterday, Pramit Ghose, manager of the Elite Bloxham Global Equity Income investment fund suggested that US shares will be a good buy in the year ahead.
