Investment returns will be boosted by an upturn in the general economy as 2010 approaches, one firm has said.
In its Equities Insight report, Legal and General claimed that while March was a low for those with investments in the UK market, sentiment has improved as the recession lifted.
Although evidence about the strength and quality of earnings from stock market investments is needed, according to the asset management company, overall feelings are positive.
"For equity markets to head significantly higher from here, market participants need to see evidence that this improvement in earnings expectations will be delivered next year," the report said.
Pinakin Patel, client portfolio manager of Asian equities at JP Morgan Asset Management, recently said that those looking to make investments into the Chinese economy have various opportunities available to them.
2010 will see a recovery in the gross domestic product in the country and investments could benefit from this, the firm explained.
