A new monthly poll set up by F&C Investments has found that the majority of respondents are looking to put their money into equities .
Some 89 per cent of those answering the first question proposed by the investments firm in July said 'yes' to 'Is now a good time to invest in equities?'.
Comments from those taking part in the poll showed that many believe there will be dips in the market but the overall trajectory is upwards.
One remarked: "Markets indicate a recovery, valuations are still very low and even allowing for more reductions dividend yields offer good returns going forward."
The FTSE 100 surpassed the 4,600 mark at the beginning of this month, which means that positive investors could be right, although another respondent asked: "Is this a rally in a bear market ?"
However, F&C Investments recently said that those seeking a good return on their money should look at high-yield bonds, which have outperformed equities so far this year.
