Yorkshire Building Society has teamed up with Credit Suisse to provide a new range of 'no risk' stock investment accounts which have a capital guarantee.
The new Guaranteed Investment Accounts (GIAs) include a five-year, seven per cent minimum, 50 per cent maximum gross with a maximum investment of £45,000 and a six-year, 12 per cent minimum, 24 per cent maximum gross with a maximum investment of £45,000.
An Annual Income option is also available over six years, with a minimum one per cent, maximum five per cent gross each year, adding up to a 30 per cent maximum.
The maximum investment on the annual option is £1 million.
Gary Fowler, head of insurance and sales operations for Yorkshire Building Society, said: "With savings rates being at an all time low it's important that people get the maximum return on their investment whilst protecting their capital."
Recent research by finance website the Motley Fool found that, given a £50,000 windfall, 26 per cent of British people would put the money into shares .
