People still have confidence in the performance of the FTSE share index, according to research by one investment firm .
A study by Barclays Stockbrokers reveals that 62 per cent of people expect the value of the FTSE to rise over the next three months.
Barbara-Ann King, head of proposition at the investment firm, said: "It is encouraging so many investors are confident the FTSE will rise over the next three months."
The survey shows that people are confident the investment index will bounce back, she added.
However, it did also find that 29 per cent of respondents feel the value of investments in the FTSE share index will fall in the next quarter.
Yesterday, Friends Provident International announced that it is to launch five new investment funds .
The products will focus on high-risk investment in emerging markets and are aimed at people looking to diversify their portfolio, the firm stated.
