Fidelity investments awarded A rating

Thu, 23 Oct 2008

Two Fidelity International investment funds have been awarded an A rating by Standard and Poor's, it has been revealed.

Both equity-based investments, the UK Aggressive fund and UK Growth fund join the firm's MoneyBuilder Growth fund as A-rated products.

Peter Hicks, executive director of UK retail at Fidelity International, explained that the management team of its investment funds underwent some changes in the last year and the Standard and Poor's assessment reflects how successful the shake up was.

"The new ratings are a testament to the successful start we have had in turning around our UK equity funds," he said.

Yesterday, the UK Social Investment Forum announced that it is planning a second week of events to promote socially aware speculation.

National Ethical Investment Week 2009 will be held between May 17th and 23rd and will look to provide increased support for financial advisers operating in the sector.

It will also look to raise general awareness of such products.
