People are looking for safer investments following the failure of with-profits schemes, one expert has claimed.
Jeremy Leach, managing director of Managing Partners Limited, explained that as with-profits investments have failed to deliver the expected returns, people are now looking elsewhere.
He said: "We've very much got this head for safety attitude with investors, they're looking at non-correlated, low risk, alternative investments."
Stability is also currently flavour of the month, with one of his firm's most popular investment accounts being one that offers "predictable returns" of around ten per cent a year, he added.
People are increasingly looking for investments that offer a reasonable return above the Bank of England base rate without too much risk attached to them, he added.
