JPMorgan Asset Management is to launch an investment account focusing on US equity income, it has been revealed.
According to the firm, it will be the first time that such a product has been available to UK investors .
The investment fund will be managed by Clare Hart who has been involved in the business for six years in America .
Investments will be focused on mid and large cap companies, with returns to be generated by both dividends and capital appreciation.
Jasper Berens, head of UK retail sales at JPMorgan Asset Management, said: "We believe the timing for this launch to be pretty much exactly right and, having listened and acted on our client's feedback, we are confident it is a product of significant demand."
As the valuation of US equities is currently very attractive, there should be room for the investment fund to make a profit, he added.
Yesterday, Barclays Stockbrokers claimed that investors are increasingly drawn to contract for difference trading platforms.
